We are delighted to welcome you to Dental Land Pediatrics and are pleased that you chose us to serve your child’s dental needs.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your child’s appointment to complete the registration process. To facilitate being seen just as soon as possible at the time of your child’s appointment, we would appreciate it if you would complete the New Patient Registration Forms before your arrival. These forms can be obtained by clicking here. These forms need to be completed on a laptop or desktop computer. The forms cannot be completed on a smart phone.
What to Expect on Your First Visit:
Your child’s first visit will include a full dental examination, during which we will evaluate your child’s oral health. If you do not have X-rays that are up to date (taken within the last 12 months), we will also take a set of X-rays so that we can properly diagnose any issues that cannot be seen by the naked eye. X-rays are useful for noting the condition of the jaw, sinuses, teeth, and tissue below the gum line. These images are crucial for providing comprehensive dental care that effectively addresses your child’s unique needs. If your child has not received a dental cleaning in the last six months, your child will receive a standard cleaning to thoroughly cleanse all surfaces of the teeth of plaque and other buildup along with a topical fluoride application.
Once your visit is complete, Dr. Abioro can answer any questions you may have, discuss oral hygiene practices, dietary practices, and provide anticipatory guidance. If further dental treatment is recommended, Dr. Abioro will discuss all treatment options and answer any questions you may have. A proposed treatment plan will be provided to you.
What to Bring:
We will gather important information from you during your child’s first visit that will help us to best serve your child’s needs. To ensure that we are able to provide the best care possible, please bring the following items with you to the appointment:
- Valid form of identification.
- Method of payment for your child’s visit.
- Records from your child’s previous dentist.
- Dental insurance information including your insurance card or forms.

If you are unable to make the appointment you have scheduled with us, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. We would be glad to reschedule the appointment at a more convenient time, if necessary. In the meantime, we look forward to meeting you.
