At Dental Land Pediatrics, we understand that your schedule is busy. We strive to ensure that your child is seen on time for every appointment. Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. Dental appointments are considered an excused absence from school, and we are happy to provide your child with an excuse note for school when needed.
Cancellation Policy
If a cancellation is unavoidable, please contact our office at least 24 hours in advance so that we can offer the time slot to another patient. Late cancellations or notifications received after business hours will result in a missed appointment fee, as your scheduled time is reserved exclusively for your child.
Late Arrivals & Associated Fees
Arriving late may require you to reschedule your appointment based on your arrival time and the procedures scheduled. Late arrivals are treated as missed appointments and may incur a fee:
- $50 fee for preventative/maintenance appointments
- $100 fee for treatment appointments
New patients who miss their appointment without providing 24-hour notice will not be rescheduled. Please note that these fees are not covered by insurance and must be paid prior to scheduling future visits.
Emergency Appointments & Schedule Delays
While we strive to maintain timely appointments, emergencies or the treatment of injured children may occasionally cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and will extend the same courtesy should your child require emergency care.
Appointment Reminders
As a courtesy, we offer appointment reminders via appointment cards, text messages, emails, and phone calls. If you prefer not to receive reminders through a specific method, you may opt out.
Additional Information
We recognize that providing a 24-hour notice isn’t always possible. In these cases, emergency cancellations will be evaluated individually. Please note that we reserve the right to limit future appointments or dismiss a patient from our practice for missing excessive appointments.
